Betti Marenko and I presented a paper at the 2019 Research Through Design Conference: Method & Critique, frictions and shifts in RTD. This was a development of my previous work attempting to map recommendations on Youtube. I developed a new visualisation that focuses on individual traces, following individual paths through Youtube indefinitely. The paper is framed by our ongoing conversation linking design theory, critical practice, algorithmic prediction, and diagrams.
